It's been a while

hello blog, we are still here. Sorry for ignoring you.

Let's try to remember what's been happening. You are almost 11 months! The other day we received a brochure in the mail from Toys R Us reminding us that we should start planning your birthday party. We are supposed to start putting together the guest list, order invitations, buy wrapping paper, ribbon, balloons, pinata (for one year olds??), food, and not have the party longer than two hours (so you won't be over stimulated and get cranky) not have the party during your nap time (duh), and most importantly register at Toys R Us! Well, thank you for making our lives easy and thank you for using our brain for us and thank you for reminding us NOT to register at Toys R' Us. This is not to say that we have't already arranged for the caterer, DJ, limousine, napkins with your initials, and of course the clown.

You have started to get on all fours, but no crawling. Just moving back and forth on all fours. I think you are going to skip the whole crawling thing. Who needs that when you can get anywhere you want by scooting around, or what we like to call the "injured soldier crawl." You are quiet fast too. You have also been pulling yourself up and you can stand more securely now while holding on.

We have a new little playground in the neighborhood and you really love the swing. Hopefully now that it will be light outside when we get home from work we will go to swing in the evenings.

You used to eat everything we offered you until recently. Now there are certain things that you won't eat unless it's mixed with apple sauce. You LOVE apple sauce and don't seem to mind a little apple sauce with your beef & rice. I can tell you will become a real gourmet.

It's not easy to watch every move you make. It's seems like whenever we are not paying attention we end up having to force your mouth open and fish out cardboard or a stink bug (no kidding). Like I said, a real gourmet.

Friday was my last day at work. Even though I wasn't feeling great physically, we decided to go out to for dinner and then to a couple of galleries, since it was the first friday of the month when all the galleries stay open late. We were out until 9pm and you were enjoying every bit of it. Your favorite piece of work was an installation of about 120 bottle nipples on a wall. You didn't know where to start!
Next week I am taking off. It will be the two of us all week long and I can't wait.

We got the same thing from Toys R Us! They are nuts!!!

We have First Friday's here too at our galleries. Zane loves looking at all the artwork. So good to expose them at such an early age!
